It really stinks when your Husband has to go out of town. Sleeping alone, checking that you locked the doors twice before going to bed, turning over to cuddle but he’s not there, eating alone etc. etc. I could go on and on. As I have said previously, Husband has been interviewing in very many different places. I have a love/hate relationship with moving out of Georgia. I could sit here and convince myself to want to go and then turn around and convince myself that it is better to stay put. It has been an on going internal battle since the whole interviewing process started for him. As more time goes by, moving is starting to look like the only option as far as jobs go. I have learned to pick conditions for our soon-to-be new home. It absolutely has to be within driving distance to my parents house (by this I mean <9 hours). Anyway, the point of this post is to let you know about the upside of a traveling husband. When he finally reaches the door after a couple of days and he walks in with a little box/bag/wrapping of sorts and he hands it over to you. These last few weeks I have really enjoyed receiving my little travel gifts from the places he has been.
Trip 1: Dallas, TX. Now, I love me some Texas. I have family there and I have potential jobpporunities (new word) there also. I love this necklace. I wear it most of the time now. 🙂
Trip 2: San Fransisco. If I wasn’t worried about the cost of living and the 3 day drive to my parents house, this one would be the WINNER. Daniel got into SF the day AFTER the World Series parade for the Giants. Now, I love my Braves… but as a sports fan, I thought this shirt rocked.
Trip 3: We’re up to the most recent trip taken. St. Louis and Annandale, VA/Washington D.C. Well, these two speak for themselves… However I love the crazy Ice cream cone snow globe and the 75% off Mitt Happens magnet…. The Mitt magnet was a total gag gift considering I didn’t fancy either candidate racing in this election.
So, there you have it. I cannot wait until next trip to see what he brings home! lol Even the little gag gifts make being alone for a couple nights alone worthwhile!
