Just Catching Up!

I should be shunned for Blog neglect. It has been nearly 4 months since my last post. I’m feeling pretty guilty about leaving this beautiful space untouched for so long. So many things have happened since I fell out of the Blogosphere. So, let me update you a little. We’ll start where I left off…

-I did successfully finish the Lurong Paleo Challenge. I lost 6 pounds and lost a few on my measurements but not a lot. As I thought I would I went back to my carbby ways, but in the New Year I am planning to make better choices. I am also planning on staying mainly Paleo with a little looser guidelines. I’ll call it Kelleo? Sounds good right?

– I ran my first 10k and I did rather well! I placed 69th with a pace of 9:06 and finished with a 56:31 time.

Hard to admit but I haven’t really run and focused on running since October…

-Husband surprised me with a trip to Chicago for our 2 year anniversary!

Image

-We went home for our Cash Family Annual Pumpkin Carving Party (BYOP(umpkin))

Image

…drum roll please…

-We finally bought a HOUSE on Halloween!

Image

-I turned the big 2-6 and threw a Gatsby party… I have always wanted a roaring 20’s party and when better to do it when you are a roaring 26 year old?

Image

-I had to say goodbye to my cousin from afar… RIP sweet Bryan.

Image

-I was blessed to go home for both Thanksgiving AND Christmas.

Image

-I celebrated the New Year with friends.

Image

-and I began the New Year 2014 with a traditional Southern style New Years Day dinner cooked by ME 🙂

Image

-Oh, and tonight I did my first WOD with Toe to Bar! (Big deal, I couldn’t even hang on the bar much less pull my feet up to my hands at the beginning of last year).

As you can see, I have been a very busy bee! And that is basically what you missed in a nut shell. For my New Years Resolution I will not abandon my Blog for more than 2 weeks. I hope I can keep ’em coming! Have a wonderful 2014 friends!

Her Favorite Color is Chrome

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

If you could see me right now you would find me in fresh gym clothes (the gym was closed when I finally pulled myself away from my new birthday present) listening to my Pandora Christmas music station, sipping a glass of wine, while playing on my brand new Google Chromebook!

Guess where the husband is?

Yup, in the kitchen without me. I have the guilty desire not to bake, but instead to play on my brand new toy (late birthday present that finally arrived). However to ease the guilt, I have found comfort in the fact that husband has had all day to play on my new toy without me. So, here I am ringing in the holiday season with you and my new Chromebook. So, what does this mean for my sweet little blog? Thoughts of a possible vlog entry?? Maybe. It depends, it would have to be a very important announcement or message for that. Much thought and preparation would have to go into such a technologically advanced activity. I mean hair, make up and wardrobe would take at least an hour. Plus much editing and making sure that my funny facial expressions aren’t revealed.

Anyway, as my very first blog post from this wonderful work of technological art, I have decided to post a picture of me enjoying it very much.

YEAH! (please excuse the goofy/excited face)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving from my family to yours!!!!!

Decorating

So, unfortunately I gave in to our fake tree with the boring white lights this year. Our big plans to go to the Christmas tree farm where we got married to get a Christmas tree failed a little bit. Money’s the word, and carrying that big sucker up the stairs to our apartment. Apparently there is a lot more that goes into a real Christmas tree than I ever thought. I am still thinking about going to Kroger where they have like 3 foot Christmas trees for sale, which are cute as heck. For now though, we’ll just use our fake tree that we got for Daniel’s apartment last year.

We awaken it.

Yeah- We don’t put any red on our tree. I guess that is the thing about putting up the tree right after the U[sic]GA game every year.

Caesar helped.

Ok, so we have a smidgen of red…

Tah Dah!!!!!! Now we need a tree skirt and it will be set.

This is the “Our First Christmas” ornament that my mom got us. I love it. My mom and dad have kept their first Christmas ornament since they were married. I like to hang theirs on the tree at their house because it reminds me that love can last forever.

Happy Decorating!!
